Ken Thompson Park

Sarasota, Florida: Situated on the banks of Sarasota Bay near the northern tip of Lido Key lies a 92 acres park that is a haven for shorebirds. Ken Thompson Park is surrounded by water on three sides making it a recreation hot spot for activities ranging from hiking to boating.

The park operated by Sarasota County Parks features plenty of amenities including hiking trails, playground, picnic facilities and a boat ramp. Also located within walking distance from the park are two popular tourist attractions, Mote Marine and Save our Seabirds.  There is even a full-service restaurant, bait shop and marina within walking distance.
