Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. As we pause from our daily lives to enjoy time together with our family, be sure to remember those who are working hard to keep us safe this holiday and every day of the year. In keeping with the turkey day tradition, enjoy this photo of a wild turkey seen during an airboat ride at Billie Swamp Safari at the edge of the Florida Everglades. (Photo: February 1, 2018)

Photo of the Day: Playing in the Mud

The swamp buggy at Billie Swamp Safari is just one of the ways you can get deep into the swamps of South Florida.  Located on the Big Cypress Indian Reservation, the attraction operated by the Seminole nation shows what life is like when you get off the roads and deep into the swamp.  They offer airboat and swamp buggy rides to take you into the swamp to see the wildlife that live in the swamp while learning about the Seminole life in the swamp.  (Photo: February 24, 2018)

Photo of the Day: Northern Guest

A snow white guest from the frozen tundra now calls South Florida home as an Arctic Wolf has a new home at Billie Swamp Safari. Originally found in the Queen Elizabeth islands of the Canadian Arctic, the Arctic Wolf of Billie Swamp Safari is enjoying his time in the Florida sunshine in his habitat shared with a Timber Wolf. The wolves are one of several animals found at Billie Swamp Safari located in the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Big Cypress Reservation. (Photo: February 24, 2018)

Photo of the Day: Traffic Jam Swamp Style

Image
When you're in the heart of the swamp, miles from the nearest city, traffic jams take on a whole new look. Here at Billie Swamp Safari, that traffic jam involved an airboat and a swamp buggy. Located on the Seminole Indian Reservation, Billie Swamp Safari takes visitors deep into the swamp to see how living in the swamp shaped the Seminole tribe and the state of Florida.
