A Place to Play, A Place to Reflect: Northeast Venice Park

On June 15, a new space opened its gates to the community—quietly inviting families, friends, and wanderers alike to step into something simple yet meaningful. Located at 3560 Laurel Road E., Northeast Venice Park spans 4.8 acres and is open daily from sunup to sundown. But what it offers goes far beyond its size or amenities—it offers a chance to reconnect. At first glance, the park is full of life and activity. The sound of pickleball paddles echoes across eight outdoor courts, while nearby, children’s laughter fills the air as they explore two thoughtfully designed playgrounds—one for ages 2–5 and another for ages 5–12. At the center of it all stands “Cordy” the Crane, a playful climbing structure that quickly becomes the heart of adventure for young explorers. Families gather under shade structures to escape the Florida sun, while others take advantage of the walking path that winds gently through the park.
