Ken Thompson Park is surrounded by water on three sides making it a recreation hot spot for activities ranging from hiking to boating. The park operated by Sarasota County Parks features plenty of amenities including hiking trails, playground, picnic facilities and a boat ramp. Also located within walking distance from the park are two popular tourist attractions, Mote Marine and Save our Seabirds.
