The Wandering Disciple

When you venture off the interstate highways in Lancaster County, traffic jams take on a different appearance.  Miles and miles of gridlock is replaced by much slower traffic in the form of tractors and horse and buggies.   Lancaster County is home to the largest Amish community in the country.  Over 43,000 Amish live in the area and the population continues to grow.  Known for their strict beliefs, Amish do not drive modern cars and rely on horse-drawn transportation to get around.
