Spotting Log: KRSW
Fort Myers, Florida: With Hurricane Isaias aimed at South Florida, RSW became a safe haven for aircraft trying to hunker down and ride out the storm. While most of them departed by the time my work week began, there were still a few remaining including a Silver Airways Saab and an extra UPS Boeing. Other than that, it was a pretty routine week at RSW.
I did have a pretty funny yet aggravating amateur moment this week, a good reminder to always check your camera settings. Before leaving for work, I took a few pictures of the full moon setting, later in the day I tried to get a pic of the departing Honda Jet and it was super blurry. Turning out I was still at 1/100 shutter speed and all of my photos up until that point were pretty blurry. Some made for some interesting speed shots and rough attempt at panning. Oh well, mistakes are how you learn.
