Photo of the Day: One Large Grasshopper

An eastern lubber grasshopper hangs out on a palm branch along the hiking trail at Carlton Reserve. The lubber is one of the most iconic species of grasshoppers mainly because of its large size and bright color pattern. Because of its large size, the lubber is used in labs a dissection specimen.
