In 1965, Walt Disney announced to the world his dream of the Florida Project. At the crossroads of I-4 and the Florida Turnpike, Disney planned to turn swamp land into a vacation destination. Over 50 years later, the Walt Disney World Resort continues to be one of the top travel destinations in the world. With four theme parks, a downtown entertainment hub, 2 water parks and over twenty resort hotel, the Walt Disney World Resort welcomes millions of visitors each year.
