Photo of the Day: Cinderella's Castle
Towering over the park, Cinderella's Castle is the centerpiece of the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World. When designing the castle, Disney Imagineers stop short of 200 feet tall due to regulations that would require an aircraft warning light on anything taller than 200 feet. So rather then have a blinking red light on the top of the castle, they stopped the height at 183 feet. The castle is home to the Royal Table restaurant, a popular place for charachter meals. It also houses a luxury suite that was intended to be an apartment for the Disney family. It also provides the backdrop for the nightly fireworks display and much more. (Photo: November 18, 20007)
