Photo of the Day: Wind through your Hair

A stiff breeze blows through the feathers of a Great Egret that was camped out along the banks of the Myakka River. Most people will recognize this large white bird that is found throughout the sunshine state. During breeding season, the egret gets its breeding plumage which includes a bright neon green coloring near the eyes like the one seen here at Myakka River State Park. (Photo: December 31, 2013)
