Photo of the Day: Walk with the Birds
Myakka River State Park is known for its diverse wildlife. From gators to deer to many species of birds, they can all be seen within the 37,000 acres of the state park. One place to get close to the birds is at the Bird Walk, a wooden boardwalk extending into the wetlands. On select days, rangers or park volunteers are staffed at the Bird Walk to help visitors find and identify some of the park residents. (Photo: May 29, 2011)
