Photo of the Day: Keeping an Eye on the Sky

When tropical weather threatens it is the job of the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron to fly right into danger to perform assessments of the storm to help better prepare those in harm's way. One of these specialized WC-130 Hurricane Hunters will be on display next weekend at the 2017 Florida International Air Show held at the Punta Gorda Airport in Punta Gorda, Florida. The weekend show kicks off on Friday October 13 and runs through Sunday October 15. (Photo: March 25, 2012)
