Photo of the Day: Sun Tanning Gator

An alligator lays in the sun along the banks of the Myakka River at Myakka River State Park. Since the alligators are cold blooded, they can be seen sunning themselves along the banks of the river to help regulate their body temperature during the colder months. (Photo: December 31, 2013)
