Standing at the southern tip of Gasparilla Island, the Port Boca Grande lighthouse is a steadfast beacon, guiding vessels through the perilous entrance to Charlotte Harbor. Its light, a silent promise, has cut through the gloom for over a century, offering assurance of safe passage past the harbor's shifting shoals and strong currents. This historic structure has been an indispensable navigational aid, safeguarding countless mariners, and now also functions as a maritime museum.
