The Big J

Docked permanently in the Camden waterfront is a New Jersey war hero. The USS New Jersey, affectionately known as Big J , is the most decorated Iowa-class battleship in the US Navy. Commissioned in 1943, the Big J saw almost 50 years of service and earned 19 battle stars. 

Today the USS New Jersey is a maritime museum dedicated to the history of the ship and the sailor that served on her. You can take several self-guided tours that take you from the bridge to the engine room and everywhere in between.
