Photo of the Day: Down on the River

A sailboat is anchored in the St Johns River just offshore of Riverfront Park in downtown Palatka. Beginning at the St Johns Marsh near Vero Beach, the river flows 310 miles to the Atlantic Ocean near Mayport. The river is the longest river in Florida and a major contributor to the commercial industry, home to a naval base and a recreational hotspot.
