Photo of the Day: Just Hanging Around

A clouded leopard hangs from the top of its habitat at ZooTampa. Found in the foothills of the Himalaya Mountains and mainland Southeast Asia, the clouded leopard is a wild cat who that is decreasing in the wild with fewer than 10,000 mature cats remaining. Zoo programs like the one in ZooTampa house these playful cats in captivity hoping to preserve the species through conservation. Each year on August 4th, the world celebrates the Clouded Leopard with International Clouded Leopard Day. (Photo: September 4, 2016)
