A honeybee is hard at work gathering pollen from a colorful plant at ZooTampa. Honeybees were once only found in Eurasia but have spread across the globe thanks to human influence. There are seven species of honeybees with over 44 subspecies. The common one in the United States is the western bee also known as the European bee and is the most domesticated of the bee species.
