Charlotte Stone Crabs vs Bradenton Marauders

Port Charlotte, Florida: The Stone Crabs could not overcome a seven run defecit early as they fell to the Bradenton Marauders 10-3 on Sunday afternoon at Charlotte Sports Park.

Bradenton jumped all over Stone Crabs starter German Marquez, scoring four runs in the second and three more in the third to take a commanding seven run lead.

The Stone Crabs finally reached the scoreboard in the sixth inning.  Yoel Araujo reached on an error followed by a single by Andrew Velazquez.  Both runners would score on a single by Maxx Tissenbaum to make it 7-2.

The Marauders would post three more runs in the ninth courtesy of the three run homer by Harold Ramirez to extend the lead to 10-2.

The Stone Crabs added a run for good measure in the bottom of the ninth.  Tissenbaum scored on a ground ball by Pat Blair.  But it was too little, too late as the Stone Crabs fell 10-3.
