Photo of the Day: Myakka River State Park

The park sign on State Road 72 welcomes guests to Myakka River State Park in eastern Sarasota County. The wild and scenic Myakka River flows from Hardee County south to Charlotte Harbor with 12 miles crossing through the 37,000 acre Myakka River State Park. The park is known for its rich wildlife and features many activities such as hiking, biking, camping and much more. (Photo: May 29, 2011)
