The crash test is one of the many stages of vehicle testing experienced on Test Track at Epcot. While your vehicle will not actually crash into the barrier, the barrier test is the starting point where your test car accelerates through the high speed test track reaching speeds over 60 miles per hour, making it the fastest ride at Walt Disney World.
