Along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon lies one of Walt Disney World's original resort hotels. The Polynesian Resort was opened in 1971 and uses a combination of longhouses surrounding a central Great Ceremonial House to created a Polynesian village right in the heart of Walt Disney World.
