The buildings are designed to make it feel like a true American city, despite being just movie props. They even pump scents onto the streets to entice visitors to visit the many restaurants and candy stores along the way.
Although there are no thrill rides on Main Street, you can board the Walt Disney Railroad from the Main Street Station near the entrance to the park. Main Street USA is a great place to view the Magic Kingdom’s parades and fireworks. Both parades pass through the park and down Main Street with great viewing locations from the side of the street. Then before park closing, you can assemble near the Main Street Train Station for a great view of the fireworks show with the backdrop of Main Street and Cinderella Castle.
Like a good movie or show, Main Street USA provides the opening and closing for the Magic Kingdom experience.
