Royal Pacific Resort

Orlando, Florida: With lush tropical landscaping and South Seas décor it is hard to believe that you are at Universal Orlando and not on a tropical island in the South Pacific. Royal Pacific Resort is located just steps from Islands of Adventure yet feels miles away from civilization.

Opened in 2002, the Royal Pacific Resort is the newest of the Universal Orlando hotels. It is based on the fictional Royal Pacific Company who’s planes and cruise ships were to bring guests to its private resort. Likeliness of the travel company can be seen throughout the resort from the plane in the lagoon to the travel posters in the guest rooms.

The resort features 1,000 guest rooms in which 51 of them are suites. There is also a large lagoon style swimming pool with a water play are for the children. The resort features a fitness center, volleyball court and croquet lawn.

There are several restaurants located inside the resort. They include:
• Bula Bar & Grill: life fare and tropical drinks by the pool
• Emeril’s Tchoup Chop: Asian cuisine inspired by master chef Emeril Lagasse
• Islands Dining Room: Pacific Rim cuisine
• Jake’s American Grill: burgers, ribs, steak and seafood
• Orchid Court Lounge: continental breakfast and exotic drinks in the evening
• Orchid Court Sushi Bar: sushi, sashimi, Asian desserts

On select nights of the week, the Royal Pacific Resort features an authentic luau. With hula dancers, knife twirlers and fire dancers alongside an authentic South Pacific dinner, the Wantilan Luau is sure to entertain the entire family.

The resort features all the benefits of staying on Universal Orlando’s property. There is a water taxi that transports guests into the parks. Guests also get front of the line access to all the attractions with Universal Express along with priority seating at the resort’s restaurants. Finally there is no need to carry around packages through the park, any purchases can be delivered to your hotel room to avoid the hassles of carrying your purchase through the parks.

The tranquility of the Royal Pacific Resort makes it a great place to relax after a busy day in the parks or just take a break from it all and relax by the pool and let the worries of the world slip away in a tropical drink.
