Port Charlotte, Florida: The Charlotte Stone Crabs were shut-out by the Palm Beach Cardinals 3-0 on Sunday evening at Charlotte Sports Park. The offense struggled to get anything going, only managing three hits of which none of the baserunners even made it into scoring position. Palm Beach scored in the first inning. Thomas Pham led off the game with a double to right field. Jarred Bogany drove home the runner with a line drive to left, giving the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. The Cardinal added to their lead in the fifth inning. Colt Sedbrook singled to right to lead off the inning. Sedbrook stole second then advanced to third on a wild pitch. Jermaine Curtis singled to right to score Sedbrook to give them a 2-0 lead. Palm Beach added one more insurance run in the ninth inning. Jarred Bogany drew a walk. Bradenton Marauders vs St. Lucie Mets

Bradenton, Florida: It took eleven innings to determine the winner, but when the dust settled, the Bradenton Marauders fell to the St. Lucie Mets by the score of 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon at McKechnie Field. The Marauders took the lead in the first inning. Eric Fryer struck a two run homer to left field to put the home team ahead 2-0. The Mets then cut the lead in half in the third inning. Hector Pellot singled to left with two outs to put a runner aboard. Jordany Valdespin then drove home the run with a triple to right to bring the Mets within a run of the lead. The Mets tied the game in the top of the sixth inning. Stefan Welch singled to center to lead off the inning. Welch stole second then scored on a double by Joey August to tie the game 2-2. It wasn't until the top of the eleventh inning until the tie was broken. Port Charlotte, Florida: The Charlotte Stone Crabs recorded a franchise high eighth win in a row by defeating the Fort Myers Miracle 4-2 on Saturday night at Charlotte Sports Park. With the win, the Stone Crabs swept the series, earning them their second consecutive series sweep. The Stone Crabs capitalized on Shooter Hunt's inability to find the strikezone in the second inning. Hunt walked Michael Sheridan, Anthony Scelfo and Matt Spring to load the bases. Then Matt Hall drew a bases loaded walk that scored Sheridan. Reid Fronk was then hit by a pitch to drive home Scelfo. Then yet another walk this time to Tim Beckham scored Spring to give the Stone Crabs a 3-0 lead. Fort Myers pulled to within a run of the lead in the seventh inning. Brian Dozier singled to left with one out to get things started. Chris Herrmann followed with an RBI triple to score Dozier. Port Charlotte, Florida: The Charlotte Stone Crabs quickly overcame an early deficit to defeat the Clearwater Threshers 12-4 on Sunday evening at Charlotte Sports Park. The win was the Stone Crabs seventh in eight games and has moved them to within a half game of the leader. Once again it was Henry Wrigley steering the Stone Crabs offense. Wrigley was a single shy of hitting for the cycle, going 3 for five with a double, triple and home run. He knocked in five runs on the night and now leads the league in home runs and is second in the league in RBI's. Clearwater took an early lead in the fourth inning. Harold Garcia reached on a walk then later scored on an RBI triple by Steve Susdorf. Susdorf later scored on a sac fly by Joel Naughton to give the Threshers a 2-0 lead. Sarasota, Florida: The Ann & Alfred Goldstein Marine Mammal Center at Mote Marine is a dual purpose facility. Part aquarium, part animal hospital the center is a leader in mammal care throughout the state of Florida. The public potion of the center is geared toward educating the visitors about the lives of sea turtles, manatees and dolphins. As you enter the center, you pass through the home of a collection of sea turtles; Shelley, Montego, Harriet, Edgar and Hang Tough call the center home. These residents of Mote have been nursed back to health but due to their injuries can not be released back to the wild. Next up is two of Mote’s more famous residents, Hugh and Buffett. The adult manatees were brought to Mote Marine in 1996 from the Miami Seaquarium. Today the pair of manatees are used for research and are the only research manatees in the world. Bradenton, Florida: The Bradenton Marauders rode the momentum of a five run third inning to help defeat the Tampa Yankees 8-1 on Friday night at McKechnie Field in Bradenton. Adenson Chourio made his first start as a Marauder by going 2 for 4 with a run scored. Tony Sanchez and Quincy Latimore also recorded multiple hits with Sanchez getting three hits and Latimore 2 hits with 3 RBI’s/ The Marauders broke the scoreless tie in the third inning with their huge five run performance. Austin McClune and Chourio led off the inning with back to back singles. Then Brock Holt singled to left field to score McClune for the first run of the game. Both runners advanced into scoring position thanks to a sac bunt by Robbie Grossman. Latimore then drove home two runs with a double to left field.
